WHAT IS INDUSTRIAL AGRICULTURE?


Industrial agriculture is a modern system of agriculture which is the industrialized production of agricultural products
such as livestock, poultry and crops in large quantities for sale or as raw material for the processing factory. The methods of industrial agriculture used are techno-scientific, economic and political. They include innovation in agricultural machinery and farming methods, genetic technology, techniques for achieving economies of scale in production, the creation of new  markets for consumption, the application of patent protection to genetic information, and global trade.

These method are widespread in developed nations and increasingly worldwide. Most of the meat, diary, eggs, fruits, and vegetables available in supermarket are produced using these method of industrial agriculture.
